Trecenta è un comune italiano di circa 2.994 abitanti della provincia di Rovigo, in Veneto, situato ad ovest del capoluogo. Trecenta risale ai tempi dei Romani, che nel 163 a.C. la strapparono agli Etruschi per stabilirvi, con nome di Annejanum, un accampamento militare a 130 miglia romane da Rimini. Dal 1208 al 1799 fu dominata dagli Este e poi dalla Chiesa. Dopo il congresso di Vienna del 1815 nel paese sorse una sottovendita della Carboneria, con ritrovo presso Villa Trebbi. Nel 1866 Trecenta entrò nel Regno d'Italia.
Trecenta is an Italian town of about 2,994 inhabitants in the province of Rovigo, in Veneto, located west of the capital. Trecenta dates back to Roman times, that in 163 BC they snatched it from the Etruscans to establish a military camp 130 Roman miles from Rimini with the name of Annejanum. From 1208 to 1799 it was dominated by the Este and then by the Church. After the Vienna congress of 1815 in the country arose an under-sale of the Carbonaria, with a meeting at Villa Trebbi. In 1866 Trecenta entered the Kingdom of Italy. |
