L'Istituto del Nastro Azzurro fra Combattenti Decorati al Valore Militare è un ente a struttura associativa di tutti i Decorati Italiani di Medaglia al Valor Militare, dalle guerre d'indipendenza fino all'attualità.
Il 4 gennaio del 2004 in piazza Leopardi a Recanati è stata posta una lapide in memoria delle vittime del secondo conflitto mondiale. La lapide è stata poi aggiornata nel 2009, dall’ Istituto Nastro Azzurro di Recanati, presieduta da Raimondo Mazzola, dal momento che è emerso un ulteriore elenco di 25 soldati recanatesi, caduti e dispersi sui vari fronti durante la Guerra 1940-1943 e ritrovato in seguito a scrupolose indagini e ricerche anagrafiche effettuate sulla base di segnalazioni pervenute da parte di alcuni eredi dei caduti che non erano elencati nella lapide. 

 

The "Nastro Azzurro Institute Among Fighters Decorated with Military Valor" is an association structure of all the Italian Decorated Medals of Military Valor, from the wars of independence to current events.
On January 4, 2004, a plaque was placed in memory of the victims of the Second World War in Piazza Leopardi in Recanati. The plaque was then updated in 2009, by the Nastro Azzurro Institute of Recanati, chaired by Raimondo Mazzola, since a further list of 25 soldiers from Recanati, who died and dispersed on various fronts during the 1940-1943 War and was found in following scrupulous investigations and registry searches carried out on the basis of reports received from some heirs of the fallen who were not listed on the tombstone.
