Guglielmo Capodaglio (1879-1961), dopo aver frequentato il Liceo G. Leopardi, ha affiancato il padre Giovanni nella conduzione della fabbrica artigianale di prodotti in corno e radica fondata nel 1878. Dopo la morte del padre ha continuato la sua attività insieme al fratello Romualdo. Tenne alta la tradizione artigianale producendo inizialmente tabacchiere in corno e pipe in radica, oggetti di fine rifinitura quali pettini, posate, calzascarpe e articoli vari, creando una serie di operai specializzati e dando lavoro a moltissime famiglie recanatesi.
La ditta ha partecipato a numerose fiere ed esposizioni ottenendo numerosi riconoscimenti e facendo si che la sua produzione fosse conosciuta ed apprezzata in tutta Italia. Guglielmo ha partecipato all’esposizione internazionale dell’ artigianato di Parigi nei primi del ‘900 ed ha continuato a lavorare ininterrottamente sino alla sua morte avvenuta nel 1961. 

 

Guglielmo Capodaglio (1879-1961), after having attended the Liceo Giacomo Leopardi, joined his father Giovanni in the management of the artisan factory of horn and briar products founded in 1878. After the death of his father he continued his business with his brother Romualdo. He kept the artisan tradition high by initially producing tobacco boxes in horn and briar pipes, objects of fine finishing such as combs, cutlery, shoe horns and various articles, creating a series of specialized workers and giving work to many families from Recanati.
The company has participated in numerous fairs and exhibitions, obtaining numerous awards and ensuring that its production was known and appreciated throughout Italy. Guglielmo took part in the international handicraft exhibition in Paris in the early 1900s and continued to work uninterruptedly until his death in 1961.
